Neymar played the role of a playmaker during Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 home fixture against Stade de Reims. With Kylian Mbappe upfront along with Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler out wide, Neymar sought to be more of a distributor while playing the role of the team’s main central attacking midfielder.
This paid off for PSG as the French powerhouse scored four goals and notched 28 total shot attempts against Reims.
For Neymar, the Brazilian forward recorded an assist in the match along with a key eight goal-scoring chances created. The latter stat for Neymar is a new season-high for him in not only Ligue 1 but in all competitions over the ongoing campaign.
More so, Neymar also recorded 10 ground duels won and six dribbles completed in the match.
With Neymar set to miss the upcoming 2021 Coupe de France Final due to a yellow card suspension, the forward will now look ahead to the team’s final league fixture of the season, which will come in an away matchup with Brest.
