While Neymar only featured in 18 Ligue 1 fixtures this past season, he still managed to make the most out of his playing time minutes with Paris Saint-Germain. The Brazilian forward capped off the campaign with 14 goal involvements thanks to his nine goals scored and five assists recorded.
Neymar often took on the role of being PSG’s main on-ball playmaker, especially when he earned starts in the team’s central attacking midfield position. The PSG forward dazzled with his ability to send in keen through balls into the opponent’s defensive third and create goal-scoring opportunities for teammates with ease.
In league play this past season, Neymar posted a keen 3.44 key passes per 90 rate, which is now a new career-high in his Ligue 1 career. Overall, Neymar totaled for 54 key passes recorded over the 18 league appearances this season.
Neymar currently sits at 31 assists recorded in Ligue 1 play over the past four seasons, which ranks among the best over this time period.
