Paris Saint-Germain talents Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Marquinhos all earned a spot in the 2020-2021 UEFA Champions League Team of the Season, as announced via the association’s official website.
Neymar and Mbappe accompany the likes of Barcelona’s Lionel Messi as the top forwards from this past season’s Champions League competition. Both Mbappe (10) and Neymar (eight) finished in the top three in total goal involvements over the Champions League.
The two PSG goal-scorers each have now received three career Champions League team of the season selections.
Marquinhos also shined for PSG in the continent’s biggest club competition. From key goals to clutch defensive performances, the Brazilian defender delivered for the French powerhouse against the top teams in the Champions League.
One could also argue that the likes of Keylor Navas deserved a spot in this team of the season, especially considering his top performances over the knockout stage.
PSG is sure to have multiple players once again feature in this team next season.
