Keylor Navas is among multiple current Paris Saint-Germain players who have previous experience in playing over in La Liga. The Costa Rican goalkeeper featured for Levante and Real Madrid where he wound up winning a La Liga title with the latter.
Now with PSG, Navas has emerged as arguably the clear top goalkeeper in Ligue 1. And from his perspective, he has come to appreciate Ligue 1 football and sees that there is one advantage that the league has over La Liga.
The PSG star goalkeeper spoke to the Colombian-based outlet Canal RCN about Ligue 1 and the slight edge that the league has when compared to La Liga.
“Here the level is quite good, I think in France they play harder,” Navas said. “They try not to have the ball so much, it’s more back and forth. It’s faster. I know it much better and I feel good here.”
Navas has adapted well to playing in the French first division, which is noted by the UNFP Ligue 1 goalkeeper of the year honor that he recently won. More so, he has won every possible domestic trophy over his current run with the French powerhouse.
