Navas Claims UNFP Award for Best Goalkeeper in Ligue 1 This Season

Following a superb league campaign this year, Paris Saint-Germain star Keylor Navas has won the National Union of Professional Footballers (UNFP) award for the best goalkeeper in Ligue 1 this season.

Navas currently sits at 13 clean sheets in league play, which ranks third among Ligue 1 goalkeepers this season. The Costa Rican goalkeeper also sports a formidable 0.6 goals conceded per game average.

Navas also holds an average of 2.5 saves per game along with a mere one goal conceded from outside the box.

Without Navas’ heroics this season, PSG may not still be competing for the Ligue 1 title on the last matchday of the season. The Costa Rican has guided PSG to clean sheet wins against the likes of Lille and Rennes in league play this season.

Navas will add this honor to a trophy cabinet that already includes a UEFA Champions League Goalkeeper of the Season honor and multiple Concacaf Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year awards.
