This summer, all eyes will be on Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo. The club chief didn’t want to proceed with former manager Thomas Tuchel and finally hired his guy in Mauricio Pochettino this past January.

Now the Brazilian needs to shape the squad to regain the Ligue 1 title and have another deep run in the UEFA Champions League. Since returning, Leonardo has recruited Navas, Icardi, Rafinha, Diallo, extended Neymar, dismissed Thomas Tuchel, refused to extend Thiago Silva and Edinson Cavani.

Furthermore, Leonardo will need to show Kylian Mbappé to take advantage of having him and Neymar build a squad around them to eventually win the Champions League.

After a couple of seasons since returning, some have questioned his moves. Recently, French media outlet Sport.fr ran a poll for fans to vote on whether supporters believe in Leonardo’s plan.

Over 784 votes are in, and although a small sample size, 60-percent continues to think that the Brazilian is the man for the job. Perhaps that could change whether he improves the squad while extending Mbappé’s contract.
