Rosario Central vice president Ricardo Carloni has opened up about his aspiration to see Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel Di Maria soon return to the Argentine club.
Di Maria recently signed off on a one-year contract extension deal that will see him remain at PSG for next season. But from there, Di Maria’s future is up in the air.
Di Maria did touch upon last year on the possibility of rejoining Rosario Central. The PSG midfielder began his professional career with the Argentine side before moving to Portuguese side Benfica.
Carloni is also open to such a return. In speaking to the “Cómo Te Va” show on Radio Colonia (via TNT Sports Argentina), Carloni took some time to touch on this matter.
“We are excited that at some point Angel [Di Maria] will return; he still has a contract with PSG,” Carloni said. “We hope that at some point, he will make the decision and decide to return to the club he loves.”
For now, Di Maria is aiming to help PSG reach another UEFA Champions League final.
