Video: ‘We Took Two Stupid Goals’ – Marquinhos Dicusses What Went Wrong For PSG Against Manchester City

Marquinhos scored the lone Paris Saint-Germain goal that allowed for the capital club to take the early lead. However, the rest of the matchup was done hill for the French giants as they would concede two goals off of mental mistakes.

After the match, Marquinhos spoke to RMC Sport, discussing what went wrong for Les Parisiens. The media outlet wanted to know whether it was a physical problem on PSG’s end or where Manchester City too strong for them in this UEFA Champions League Semi-Final first leg.

“It’s hard to say now. We need to analyze better to see our difficulties. It’s hard to run behind the ball, and when you got it back, it was hard to get out. We weren’t able to counter them well. Sometimes you have to be smarter,” Marquinhos said.

“Even if we had already been in difficulty in the other matches, we had been stronger. We took two stupid goals. These are details, and this is the Champions League. We have to manage the small details better and be stronger in difficulty to enjoy our good times in the match.”
