Kylian Mbappé is dealing with a right calf injury and will not be part of the squad that takes on RC Lens this weekend. Many wonder what the 22-year-old’s status is for the return leg against Manchester City in their UEFA Champions League matchup.
Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the media, where Canal Supporters relayed his comments providing an update on Mbappé. However, the Argentine tactician remains optimistic that the forward will be able to play against Manchester City.
“Mbappé suffers from discomfort in his right calf. We hope that is not serious and that he can be with us as soon as possible,” Pochettino said. “He’s an important player, and that always has an impact on the team. But we have important players in the squad, and I hope we can have an excellent performance to get us closer to a victory.”
