Paris Saint-Germain came away with a 3-2 result in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Quarterfinal matchup against FC Bayern Munich. The German giants fell 2-0 early in the game; however, they climbed back into the fixture to make it 2-2.
Furthermore, the Bavarian club generated 31 total shots, with 12 being on target and 26 chances created in the 90 minutes. Nonetheless, they were only able to come away with two goals.
After the match, Benjamin Pavard spoke to RMC Sport, discussing the 3-2 loss. Canal Supporters relayed the comments from the Bayern Munich defender.
“We’re frustrated; we deserved to win this game. We had possession and more shots; Bravo to Paris. There is a return match; we will do everything to qualify,” Pavard said.
“Mbappé? Congratulations to him; he has once again shown that he is a great player. We have to focus on ourselves. We’re going to Paris to qualify. We are focused on us, not on Paris, and retain those who are eligible at the end. We are focused on us, not on them, and deserved to win when we see today’s game. I’m sure we can qualify there.”
