Paris Saint-Germain will need to put their 2-1 loss to Manchester City behind them as they gear up for their Ligue 1 matchup against RC Lens. Ahead of the matchup, capital club manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke at a press conference where Canal Supporters relayed his comments.
One of the topics that the Argentine tactician touched on is the squad’s current mindset after losing to Manchester City.
“We have found a group of players who want to play fast to release this negative feeling of defeat,” Pochettino said. “We lost the first leg, but with all due respect for City, we are thinking of turning the situation around in the future. Above all, we find a team that is good for tomorrow.”
Furthermore, Pochettino answered whether his squad is ready to turn the page and focus on Ligue 1, considering how tight the race is for the 2020-21 crown.
“For us, the most important thing is tomorrow’s game. The team composition will take into account not only the football aspect but also the physical aspect,” Pochettino said.
“We know that we will play against a good team, one of the revelations of the championship. We will need freshness and players who can bring that quality. We will think about the City game after the game against Lens.”
