Neymar Jr. played 90 minutes in the second leg that saw Paris Saint-Germain lose the match 1-0 to FC Bayern Munich, but advance on away goals. The 29-year-old had various opportunities to score a goal, but luck wasn’t on his side as two shots hit the woodwork.
However, the capital club was able to secure a positive result despite the defeat. After the match, Neymar took to the microphone with RMC Sport, where Canal Supporters relayed his comments.
“We are very happy. We faced a great team, but we are also a great team, we eliminated the European champions,” Neymar said. “Our goals are being met. Now, we are in the semi-finals, we still have to work, improve, and we hope to have good semi-finals.”
“We are really a team, we talk to each other a lot. Marquinhos spoke to us during the match, to help us organize ourselves. We are a really competitive team, all together. Di Maria ran a lot today. I missed him a little but the most important thing is that we qualified, and I’m very happy. PSG is a great team, that’s for sure. We are in the semi-finals and now we are aiming bigger.”
