It seemed as though Paris Saint-Germain had the three points wrapped up after Kylian Mbappé had converted the penalty kick goal. The capital club only needed to survive the few minutes left in stoppage time to avoid an early scare that AS Saint-Étienne provided them a few minutes earlier.
Nonetheless, PSG never likes to make it easy on themselves and surrounded the 2-2 tying goal after Sergio Rico allowed for a second chance opportunity that Romain Hamouma converted.
