Kevin De Bruyne’s injury is a critical one to the Manchester City FC squad ahead of the UEFA Champions League Semi-Final matchup against Paris Saint-Germain.

The English club hopes to have the 29-year-old for their EFL Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur; however, during his press conference with the media, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola provided an update on De Bruyne.

“It was less than we expected, and yesterday, he felt much better,” Guardiola said. “Today, I don’t know because I didn’t speak with him, but we will see tomorrow’s training. I think if it’s not really for this final, hopefully, maybe he will be ready for the semi-finals of the Champions League.”

It will be interesting to see how De Bruyne looks should the Champions League match be his first action since his injury.
