In last season’s UEFA Champions League knockout stage, Marquinhos was among the heroes for Paris Saint-Germain in its run to the final because of his key goals. The Brazilian defender has now once again delivered for PSG in Champions League knockout stage play.

Angel Di Maria was the catalyst on this goal sequence in PSG’s Champions League showdown against Manchester City, as his curling ball into the box reached Marquinhos, who did the rest by scoring the opening goal of this semifinal tie.

Marquinhos has now scored five Champions League goals over these last two seasons.
