Two clubs have tried to defend Paris Saint-Germain. Ultimately failed as Paris Saint-Germain could come away with at least one good result. It would allow for them to advance past FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich.
Manchester City is the next club that will try to implement their defensive game plan to keep the French giants quiet over two legs.
In his press conference with the football media, manager Pep Guardiola spoke about defending Les Parisiens for over 180 minutes. Canal Supporters relayed the Spanish tacticians’ comments.
“If you have the ball all the time, it’s the best balance. It is impossible that PSG does not have a counterattack. They have a lot of guns and good players. We must find the resources to attack and minimize their chances. The best way is to impose our game,” Guardiola said.
“Of course, Lyon had beaten us with blocks, but the best way is to have possession of the ball. You have to win against the opponent, and the way we like to do it is by having the ball. Team balance follows when you have the ball and how you create stability with the ball.”
