Video: ‘It’s Very Disappointing’ – Thomas Müller Discusses Bayern Munich Elimination by PSG

FC Bayern Munich went into the second leg confident that they’d come away with the result that would see them through to the UEFA Champions League semi-final. However, that scenario didn’t play out at the Parc des Princes.

The Bavarian club did win the match 1-0, but the 3-3 draw meant that Paris Saint-Germain would be advancing to the semi-final due to the away goal tiebreaker.

After the match, Bayern Munich forward Thomas Müller spoke to Sky Sport Germany (via L’Equipe) to discuss the elimination.

“The match did not turn out like in Munich, we did not manage to put pressure on their goal from the start, and it was Paris which had occasions. Manu (Neuer) made some outstanding saves, and we were helped by the posts,” Müller said.

“In the second half, we were very good at the start, but the game was very choppy, with constant interruptions, and we did not manage to have a pressure phase. It’s very disappointing to be eliminated by not winning in Paris.”
