Paris Saint-Germain came away with a 3-2 result at the Allianz Arena, but the capital club maintained the result despite surrendering 31 total shots with 12 being on target. The Bavarian club also generated 26 chances but again only came away with two goals.
After the match, Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick spoke to the media about the defeat to PSG and the second leg as the Bavarian club will want to turn the result in Paris next week. Canal Supporters relayed the comments made by the German tactician to discuss the loss.
“It’s an unfortunate defeat. Paris played very efficiently but we dominated the game. I have to pay my team a compliment with regard to the mentality, the style of play. Despite everything, we were not focused enough in front of the goal,” Flick said. “I told the team that there is still one game to play and we will give everything to turn this result in our favor. It doesn’t change our mentality. When we concede goals like today, it’s because we made mistakes.”
“We would like to avoid them. All three goals could have been avoided. But we are looking forward, we cannot change today’s result. I hope we can do it next Tuesday. Our chances of qualifying? It’s always hard to say. We’re gonna give everything. We know that Paris is a very strong team but we can hurt them too and we want to try to take advantage of it on Tuesday by trying to be more efficient.”
