Video: ‘I Was Nervous’ – Mauricio Pochettino Discusses Positive Result as PSG Advances Past Bayern Munich

Paris Saint-Germain advanced past FC Bayern Munich after coming away with a positive result despite losing the second leg 1-0 in their UEFA Champions League Quarterfinal matchup.

After the match, Les Parisiens’ manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke to RMC Sport, where he discussed advancing to the semi-finals. Canal Supporters relayed the remarks made by the Argentine tactician.

“First, I want to congratulate the players,” Pochettino said. “All the credit goes to them. I’m very happy for them, the staff, the club, the president, Leonardo. It’s good to share these happy moments, and I missed that adrenaline when I was home. It is the most beautiful club competition. So obviously, I was nervous; inside, it was boiling.”

Furthermore, the 49-year-old touched on the Bavarian club’s comments heading into the second leg.

“The statements of the Bavarians before the match? Usually, great players like Kimmich and Müller have confidence in them,” Pochettino said. “They consider themselves favorites. Football is such a beautiful sport. You should never give up, and we made a lot of effort. We must continue to work, and then we also have quality.”

Nonetheless, the capital club is heading to their second consecutive semi-final and awaits the Manchester City FC and Borussia Dortmund matchup winner.
