Video: ‘Football Is a Collective Game’ – Marquinhos Discusses PSG Relying Heavily on Neymar and Kylian Mbappé Against Bayern Munich

Heading into their first leg clash against FC Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain will be without two significant pieces in their midfield as Marco Verratti is out due to testing positive for coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Leandro Paredes will miss the game because of yellow card accumulation. As a result, the capital club will rely heavily on Neymar and Kylian Mbappé in Munich as the French giants try to come away with a positive outcome.

During his press conference, Marquinhos answered whether Neymar and Mbappé would be leading the way for the squad. Canal Supporters relayed the PSG captain’s response.

“I have always preferred to talk about the collective, especially in this kind of match. When we see our performance in Barcelona, we had a great match and the team was really strong. I prefer to focus on what we have to do collectively. If everyone puts in the right entry, the individualities will emerge because we have great players. I prefer to put the collective before because football is a collective game and not an individual,” Marquinhos said.
