Video: Danilo Pereira Discusses Mentality PSG Will Have Entering Second Leg Against Bayern Munich

Marquinhos scored the second goal for Paris Saint-Germain as the capital club went up 2-0 on FC Bayern Munich in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Quarterfinal matchup. However, after scoring that goal, the 26-year-old left the game due to an injury.

Danilo Pereira transitioned from playing in the midfield to playing central defense to replace Marquinhos. The 29-year-old played 90 minutes and had 13 clearances, with six of them being head clearances.

After the 3-2 win over the Bavarian club, Pereira spoke to PSG TV to discuss the match. Canal Supporters relayed the comments from the player.

“I think it’s a great result for us because it was a tough game against a great Bayern team. We had a great performance in the first half, we conceded two goals but it’s the Champions League and sometimes great teams can also concede goals. We have scored three and will approach the second leg with the mentality to win,” Pereira said.
