Three Bayern Munich Players Expected to Miss the Champions League Return Fixture Against PSG

FC Bayern Munich was without two players during its UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first leg fixture against Paris Saint-Germain. Now, the club could go on to be without two more players for the return match.

Niklas Sule and Leon Goretzka each were subbed off during the first half of the first leg against PSG due to apparent injuries. Bayern later announced that the two are now dealing with muscle injuries.

The German-based outlet Sport Bild further revealed that Sule is expected to miss two to three weeks of action due to the injury while Goretzka currently remains a doubt for the second leg.

Ahead of the first leg against PSG, Robert Lewandowski confirmed that he will also go on to miss the second leg of this tie. The Bundesliga’s current leading goal-scorer is still dealing with a knee injury that he suffered over the recent international break.

Serge Gnabry’s status for the return fixture is still up in the air. The German winger recently tested positive for the coronavirus and is currently following the set self-isolation protocols. It is not yet determined whether he would be available to take on PSG next week.

PSG heads into the second leg up 3-2 in the tie.
