Report: Verratti On Track to be Available for PSG’s Upcoming Champions League Semifinal Fixture Against Manchester City

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has surprisingly played in just one fixture this month. For one, Verratti was ruled out from PSG’s Coupe de France match against Angers because of a slight thigh injury.

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino recently noted that Verratti will be on the team’s squad list for the upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Metz. It is not yet known whether Verratti will go on to receive starting minutes in this match, or if he will be called on to instead come off the bench.

For the moment, Verratti is still on track to be available for PSG’s UEFA Champions League semifinal first leg encounter with Manchester City, as noted by Le Parisien.

Barring any setbacks in PSG’s upcoming fixture against Metz and in the training sessions following the match, Verratti could very well go on to feature against the current Premier League leaders.

Verratti has played in five of PSG’s Champions League fixtures so far this season.
