Bayern Munich is currently dealing with a notable injury crisis ahead of its UEFA Champions League quarterfinal second leg fixture against Paris Saint-Germain. At the least, the German side is beginning to receive promising news regarding a few players.
For one, Bayern defenders Jerome Boateng (knee) and Lucas Hernandez (ribs) are each recovering from their own respective injuries. Boateng featured in last week’s first leg fixture against PSG as a first half substitute while Hernandez played in the entire match.
Boateng and Hernandez are not at risk of being out for a lengthy amount of time as RMC Sport notes that they are expected to be available to take on PSG in the second leg fixture this week.
Bayern will need Boateng the most for this contest as center-back Niklas Sule is already expected to miss this match due to a muscle injury.
Bayern heads into the return match down 3-2 in the tie.
