Paris Saint-Germain has pulled to within a mere one point of current Ligue 1 leaders Lille OSC in the league table. With five matches remaining in the ongoing season, the Ligue 1 title race remains completely wide-open, especially as AS Monaco and Olympique Lyonnais are also within distance of Lille.
While Lille will meet Lyon on matchday 34, PSG will take on FC Metz.
As noted by Onze Mondial, PSG could end up fielding a prominent starting 11 against Metz considering that it will be getting back multiple key players from either suspension or injury.
Navas; Florenzi, Danilo, Kimpembe, Kurzawa; Gueye, Paredes; Di Maria, Neymar, Mbappe; Icardi
Keylor Navas missed PSG’s last fixture against Angers in the Coupe de France due to a shoulder injury. However, the Costa Rican goalkeeper is expected to be back for PSG’s matchup against Metz.
Marquinhos has been officially ruled out from this fixture due to his nagging adductor injury. Thus, Danilo Pereira could go on to earn yet another start in a domestic match as a center-back.
Marco Verratti may not be fully fit to return in time to feature in this match. As a result, Leandro Paredes could be tasked with leading PSG’s midfield against Metz.
Neymar’s Ligue 1 red card suspension is over, and he could go on to earn a start in this fixture.
PSG could finish this matchday in first place in the league standings pending Lille’s result against Lyon.
