Report: PSG’s Projected Starting 11 for the Champions League Return Fixture Against Bayern Munich

Paris Saint-Germain is one step away from clinching a spot in the UEFA Champions League semifinals for the second straight season. But if PSG aspires to accomplish this feat, the French side will need to hold off Bayern Munich in the second leg of their quarterfinal tie.

Both teams come into this fixture with multiple injury concerns. Still, as noted by UEFA‘s official website, this potential starting 11 from PSG may be just enough to secure the tie win.

Marquinhos is dealing with an adductor injury and will not feature for PSG against Bayern on Tuesday. PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino recently started Danilo Pereira as a center-back in the team’s Ligue 1 win over Strasbourg and could end up doing so again for this match against Bayern.

Leandro Paredes missed the first leg of the tie due to a yellow card suspension but is expected to be back in PSG’s starting 11 for this matchup.

Marco Verratti has missed PSG’s last couple of fixtures in all competitions due to a positive coronavirus test but has now recovered. It will be noteworthy to see whether he goes on to make the team’s starting lineup for this fixture.

PSG currently holds a slim 3-2 aggregate lead over the reigning Bundesliga winners.
