Paris Saint-Germain has had multiple arduous encounters over the course of this season in all competitions. Now, the French powerhouse is set for yet another challenge as it will take on Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League semifinal first leg.
The good news for PSG is that the side has no serious injury concerns. For one, Marquinhos had dealt with an adductor injury as of late but is now fit and available to feature for PSG in this showdown.
As noted by UEFA‘s official website, PSG could see multiple changes with its starting 11 against Manchester City.
Navas; Florenzi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Diallo; Gueye, Paredes; Di Maria, Verratti, Neymar; Mbappe
As mentioned, Marquinhos is back and available for PSG in this matchup. Still, PSG’s coaching staff will have a difficult decision on whether the Brazilian defender is ready to start in such a tense fixture as this one.
The one notable tactical dilemma for PSG is where Marco Verratti may end up playing in. The Italian midfielder is well accustomed to featuring as a holding midfielder when PSG opts to play in a 4-2-3-1 setup. However, Verratti could end up taking on the role of a central attacking midfielder in this matchup with Angel Di Maria and Neymar alongside him in this match.
PSG will surely look for its biggest stars to lead the side against the Premier League powerhouse.
