Paris Saint-Germain is showing an early interest in selling Mauro Icardi to fund the contract extension deals of both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, according to a report from the Italian-based outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Le10Sport).
Icardi has been linked with a possible departure from PSG, such as with a potential move to Juventus. However, it remains to be seen whether the Serie A side aims at signing the Argentine over the upcoming summer transfer window.
On the other hand, PSG has been in the rumor mill with the contract extension deals of both Neymar and Mbappe. The two star forwards are set to become free agents next year and PSG does not want to lose either talent over the summer window later this year.
It is currently not known whether PSG currently is facing financial issues that would prevent the side from signing off on extension deals with its two superstar goal-scorers.
In the meantime, Neymar and Mbappe are vying to lead PSG to triumph in this season’s Champions League competition.
