Marquinhos will not be featuring in Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League quarterfinal second leg fixture against Bayern Munich due to his adductor injury, as noted by RMC Sport.
Marquinhos suffered the adductor injury during the first half of PSG’s Champions League first leg fixture against Bayern. Mere minutes after scoring a goal, the Brazilian called to the sidelines to make a substitution, and he was subsequently removed from the match as a result.
The PSG defender also went on to miss the team’s recent Ligue 1 fixture against Strasbourg due to the injury.
It is still to be determined on whom PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino plans to instead start out at the center-back position in place of Marquinhos. The Argentine manager recently started Danilo Pereira as a center-back in the fixture against Strasbourg, so this could provide for an indication of what may come against Bayern.
PSG will be aiming to hold off Bayern and clinch a quarterfinal tie win.
