Paris Saint-Germain would like to add some depth at forward this summer. Ángel Di María only has one more year in his contract, and Julian Draxler is leaving this summer. As a result, the capital club could be eyeing replacements.
According to Diario AS, Les Parisiens are reportedly showing interest in Real Madrid winger Lucas Vázquez, whose contract expires in June. The 29-year-old will be 30 this summer, so PSG could look to squeeze out a couple of seasons that are left of his prime years.
Despite the player potentially coming on a free transfer, there’s some risk. Vázquez suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament injury in El Clásico against FC Barcelona. Furthermore, this injury could result in the forward deciding to take the offer on the table from Real Madrid.
The Spanish media outlet reports that Real Madrid offers a three-year deal with an annual salary of €3-million to Vázquez. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see what the winger decides to do. He could take the offer from Los Blancos or hit the open market and talk with PSG potentially.
Vázquez has appeared in 240 appearances while scoring 26 goals and 54 assists.
