Over the summer, Paris Saint-Germain will want to upgrade their right-back situation, whether that includes exercising the option to buy clause on Alessandro Florenzi’s loan remains to be soon.
Nonetheless, the capital club has its eyes on a long-term solution in Emerson Royal. The 22-year-old is co-owned by Real Betis and FC Barcelona after departing Clube Atlético Mineiro to sign a five-year deal with the Spanish sides.
Emerson spent the first two seasons of his contract with Real Betis and will now report to Barcelona for the final three; however, the Catalan side is open to selling the player with the French giants showing interest.
According to Mundo Deportivo, PSG has reportedly made a €15-million offer for the right-back, but it’s a sum that probably wouldn’t grab the attention of the Spanish club.
Last summer, Barcelona reportedly turned down a €23-million offer from AC Milan, so this offer from Les Parisiens likely gets rejected. The Spanish side isn’t in a rush to sell the player as they could use Emerson as a backup for Sergiño Dest.
