Over the past couple of transfer windows, Paris Saint-Germain has seen an exodus of talented youth players depart the capital club searching for more minutes and prominent roles. Some have found what they were looking for, while others found out that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
Last summer, Tanguy Kouassi, and Adil Aouchiche were the latest PSG youth academy jewels to depart once their contracts expired. The next player that seems destined to join these two players is Kays Ruiz-Atil.
ESPN reports that the 18-year-old is in contract talks with FC Barcelona that would see him return to the club where he spent time from 2009 to 2015. Ruiz-Atil saw playing time under former manager Thomas Tuchel, but since Mauricio Pochettino took over the reins, he hasn’t been seen since.
It doesn’t appear as though the teenager is in Pochettino’s plans going forward, and so it seems his departure is only a matter of time.
