Only Lewandowski Has Scored More Goals Than Mbappe in Europe’s Top 5 Leagues This Season

Kylian Mbappe has so far had one of the top goal-scoring campaigns of his career. The French forward just recently capped off a Ligue 1 double in Paris Saint-Germain’s away fixture against Metz. The performance gave Mbappe a total of seven goals in PSG’s last five league matches.

Overall, Mbappe now stands at 25 league goals this season, which leads Ligue 1. Mbappe’s 25 goals only trail Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski (36) for the most goals scored among players within Europe’s top five leagues so far this season.

Mbappe stands at a five-player tie with Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Andre Silva and Erling Haaland for the second-most goals scored in Europe’s top five leagues over the ongoing campaign.

Mbappe would now need to score five goals over PSG’s last four fixtures this season in order to cap off a 30-goal season. However, Lewandowski is well on his way to handily winning the Golden Boot award for this season.
