Over his Paris Saint-Germain run, Neymar has also shown to be among the top playmaking talents in the Champions League. In 25 Champions League appearances with PSG, Neymar has totaled for 10 assists. Overall in his career, Neymar sits at 27 Champions League assists.
For the moment, Neymar is a mere three assists away from tying Xavi Hernandez’s 30 assists for the fifth-most all-time in the Champions League. Two assists for Neymar would bring the forward level all-time with Andres Iniesta’s 29 in this competition.
Neymar could very well accomplish this feat in the upcoming Champions League quarterfinal tie against Bayern Munich. The Brazilian forward is currently without a Champions League assist this season, but he is well capable of chipping in for three over two matches against the Bundesliga powerhouse.
