Mancini Says Kean Has the Potential to Become a Key Player for the Italian National Team

Moise Kean has burst onto the scene this season as one of the more promising young attacking talents in Europe today. The Italian forward has scored massive goals in all competitions for Paris Saint-Germain this season, including a score against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League round of 16.

Kean’s play this season earned him Italian national team call-ups in each of its four international windows this season, although he went on to miss the team’s last six fixtures due to injury. Still, Italian national team manager Roberto Mancini is well impressed with Kean’s play as of late for PSG.

Mancini recently touched (via Gianluca Di Marzio’s website) on the potential of the PSG forward with the Italian national team.

“He is doing very well in Paris,” Mancini said. “He is maturing; he is a player who can become really very good. He will certainly be one who will play in the national team for many years to come.”

Kean is well among the candidates that could be selected for Italy’s final EURO 2020 squad list. The Italian forward may also very well go on to earn key starts in this upcoming tournament.
