IFFHS Placed PSG at 11th in the Club World Ranking 2001-2020

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) continues to unveil its rankings of the top clubs and players of the past years.

The IFFHS just recently revealed its top 30 teams for the club world ranking 2001-2020 time period. The IFFHS placed Barcelona (5,427 points), Real Madrid (5,039 points) and Bayern Munich (4,909.5 points) in the top three respectively.

For Paris Saint-Germain, the French side was listed just outside the top 10 as it ranked 11th. This made PSG the highest-ranked French club on the list with Olympique Lyonnais (15th) being the next such ranked side.

PSG did not enjoy much grand success over the 2000s. However, the tide turned for PSG over the 2010s as it dominated domestic play and became a regular in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage. The French side won every domestic trophy possible and picked up multiple key match wins in the Champions League.

PSG is well now among the top teams in the continent.
