Icardi and Marquinhos Will Miss PSG’s Ligue 1 Fixture Against Strasbourg Due to Injury

Paris Saint-Germain has officially ruled out Mauro Icardi and Marquinhos from its upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Strasbourg, as announced via the club’s official website.

Icardi has missed PSG’s last three fixtures in all competitions due to a thigh injury, including in the recent UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first leg fixture against Bayern Munich. The Argentine’s status for the upcoming second leg clash with Bayern is still not yet determined.

Marquinhos was subbed off in the first half of PSG’s Champions League first leg fixture against Bayern mere minutes after scoring a goal. PSG is remaining cautious by keeping him out of this fixture due to his new adductor injury.

The two will now look ahead to possibly being available to take on Bayern in the second leg next week.

Icardi has been a key player as of late under Mauricio Pochettino while Marquinhos continues to show why he is deserving of being PSG’s new team captain.
