Icardi and Five Other Players Will Miss PSG’s Fixture Against Lille Due to Injury

Paris Saint-Germain has officially ruled out six players from its Ligue 1 fixture against Lille OSC due to injury, as the club announced on its official website.

Verratti tested positive for the coronavirus and will not only miss this fixture against Lille but also PSG’s UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first leg clash against Bayern Munich next week. This is to add to the left thigh contusion injury that he is currently recovering from.

Danilo Pereira, Mauro Icardi and Alexandre Letellier are all dealing with thigh injuries. PSG is remaining cautious by electing to keep this trio out from the team’s squad list for this match.

Layvin Kurzawa remains out due to calf muscle soreness. The fullback’s status for the upcoming fixture against Bayern Munich has not yet determined.

Juan Bernat continues to recover from his ACL injury. Bernat is still striving to return to the pitch before the end of the season.

PSG aims to maintain its current first place standing in the Ligue 1 table following this fixture.
