Herrera Discusses Mbappe’s Recent World-Class Form for PSG

Kylian Mbappe continues to be the focal point of Paris Saint-Germain’s high-octane attack.

In PSG’s key Ligue 1 win against AS Saint-Etienne, Mbappe scored two second half goals. Overall, Mbappe has now recorded 23 goals in league play, which ranks as the most this season. More so, Mbappe also still leads the league in total goal involvements with 30 thanks to his 23 goals scored and seven assists.

PSG midfielder Ander Herrera remains much impressed with the play of Mbappe. The Spanish midfielder spoke further to Canal Plus (via Le10Sport) about Mbappe and his aim at becoming the best player in the world.

“We know that Kylian Mbappé wants to be the best player in the world and you can see that in every game he wants to show that,” Herrera said. “For us, it’s fantastic.

“We have played matches of world-class but also with a lot of effort, work and that is an honor for me who is a team player that our stars work a lot.”

PSG now sits at a mere one point behind current Ligue 1 leaders Lille OSC. They both have five matches remaining on their league schedules. PSG will surely need Mbappe to continue to step up in big Ligue 1 matches over the remainder of the season if it aspires to win yet another league title.
