Former Brazilian national team manager Luiz Felipe Scolari aspires to see Lionel Messi and Neymar reunite once again, but at Paris Saint-Germain.
Neymar has already publicly talked about wanting to once again play alongside Messi. The Brazilian’s comments on this matter late last year opened the floodgates to the Messi to PSG rumors, especially as the Argentine is slated to become a free agent at the end of the season.
Scolari is much a fan of these two superstar talents and would want to see them at PSG rather than at Barcelona, which he revealed why during the talk with the Argentine-based show Super Deportivo on Villa Trinidad (via AS).
“Yes, I would like to see them together, but not at Barcelona,” Scolari said. “I would like to see them at PSG. They make a duo that other teams would hardly have. The only thing for sure is that if they played together again, hardly a game would go by without PSG scoring goals. There wouldn’t be a game in which PSG didn’t score. They are two geniuses.”
Neymar is also facing a questionable footballing future as he has not yet signed off on a new contract extension agreement with PSG. It is not yet known whether Neymar is set on staying with PSG or if he would be open to a return to Barca in order to join forces with Messi once again.
