Di Maria Stands in a Tie With Ronaldo for the Most Champions League Assists Since the 2010/2011 Season

Angel Di Maria shined for Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League semifinal first leg clash with Manchester City. The Argentine midfielder recorded a key assist in the first half of the match that gave PSG a much-needed goal in the tie.

This assist for Di Maria was the fourth of his Champions League campaign this season. Di Maria now stands at 17 Champions League assists in his ongoing PSG career.

Overall, Di Maria has recorded an astounding 30 Champions League assists since the 2010-2011 campaign, which includes top dishes during his run with Real Madrid. The 30 assists Champions League assists for Di Maria over this time period stands at a tie with Cristiano Ronaldo for the most since then.

Both Di Maria and Ronaldo have recorded two more assists than forward Lionel Messi since the 2010-2011 season.

Di Maria is well one of the top playmakers to ever feature in the Champions League competition.
