Paris Saint-Germain is just coming off of one of its best Ligue 1 performances under Mauricio Pochettino in the match against Olympique Lyonnais.
PSG scored four goals and wound up maintaining possession with ease over the course of the match. While several defensive errors allowed Lyon to create key high-percentage goal-scoring opportunities, PSG did have a fair share of promising sequences in both the attack and defense.
Kylian Mbappe shined in the match with two goals scored. Overall, Mbappe was pleased with PSG’s performance in the match, as he sees that the team continues to grow under Pochettino.
The French forward spoke further (via Canal Plus) about PSG’s promising progress under Pochettino as of late.
“We have already changed the system,” Mbappe said. “Afterwards, each coach comes with his philosophy. We had a philosophy, a philosophy with Thomas Tuchel. We changed coaches, then Mauricio came up with another game plan and a new form of play. We didn’t manage to play well right away, it starts to show little by little, but now we have to confirm.”
PSG now sits at the top of the league table following its win over Lyon.
