Video: ‘We Will Start as if There Is 0-0’ – Pochettino Discusses PSG’s Mentality Heading Into Second Leg Clash With Barça

Paris Saint-Germain will head into the second-leg fixture against FC Barcelona with a 4-1 lead on aggregate in their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie. In the past, the capital club has let these leads in the knockout stages slip away.

Nonetheless, Mauricio Pochettino discussed with the media at his press conference the mentality that the capital club will have heading into the fixture against Barça. Canal Supporters relayed the Argentine tactician’s words over his squad having the mindset that the match is 0-0.

“We have to be consistent for 90 minutes. In football, the most important thing is to be focused. We will start as if there is 0-0, and we want to win to qualify. I have been in charge for two months,” Pochettino said.

“The most important thing is to be optimistic, that the players agree, and make the best decisions for the players and the club. It is important how we are going to start the game. It applies to both teams. There are great players and a great coach at Barça, and we have maximum respect for our rivals.”
