For all the talk that Paris Saint-Germain needs to extend Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappé, it’s Ángel Di María who receives the first extension in 2021. The 33-year-old’s contract expires in June, but the Argentina international and the capital club agreed to a one-year deal that will keep in Parisian colors until June 2022.
However, L’Equipe (via Culture PSG) reports that there’s an optional year, meaning he could stay in Paris until June 2023. The conditions for exercising the option are not known.
Les Parisiens decided to produce a video commemorating the agreement that keeps Di María in the French capital for another season. Barring health, the forward has the opportunity to obtain 100 goals with PSG next season as he further establishes his legacy in Paris.
