Video: ‘It Will Be 50-50’ – Bayern Munich’s Javi Martínez on Their Champions League Quarterfinal Clash Against PSG

Paris Saint-Germain and FC Bayern Munich will clash in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals in a rematch of last season’s final.

The capital club will look to avenge their loss and put an end to the German giant’s incredible run in the competition this season as they’ve yet to lose a match in this tournament.

During an appearance on beIN Sports France, Javi Martínez spoke about the matchup against Les Parisiens. For the 32-year-old, the confrontation is an even one, and it’s a toss-up as to who comes away victorious.

“It’s going to be very complicated. I believe that in a round-trip confrontation everything is much more balanced. It will be 50-50. We really want to play these matches, it’s a dream when you are a footballer. If we start to mention all the dangers of PSG we never stop. They have a lot of good players. Obviously, the most dangerous is Kylian Mbappé and Neymar,” Martínez said.

“In recent seasons, PSG has progressed on one point, which is that it no longer simply plays on its individual qualities, but also with collective qualities. I also know Ander (Herrera), I played with him. We are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League so obviously, all matches are complicated at this stage of the competition. PSG and Bayern are two teams that could be in the final.”
