Paris Saint-Germain entered its Ligue 1 fixture against Olympique Lyonnais in need of a win to re-take first place in the league standings. Not only is PSG on its way to clinching a win over Lyon, but the side has so far put together a statement performance.
PSG scored two goals in the first half of the match and wound up adding a third over the early stages of the second half. Angel Di Maria scored PSG’s third goal of the contest on a set-piece play that simply surprised the entire Lyon backline.
The Argentine curled in a ball from the flanks on a set-piece attempt and somehow, it trickled into the back of the net for the goal. No PSG player got a touch on the ball, and no Lyon player made a serious attempt to clear it away.
