Report: Robert Lewandowski to Miss Both Fixtures in Champions League Tie Between Bayern Munich-PSG

The FIFA international break is when club supporters hold their breath and hope their superstar players return intact. With a crammed schedule, national teams played three games in one window as UEFA started their 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Next week, FC Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie gets underway with the first-leg in Munich, Germany. However, there’s one name that the Bavarian club will miss during both fixtures.

The German giants released a statement announcing that Robert Lewandowski has a ligament stretch in his right knee and will be out four weeks. Lewandowski picked up the injury while on international duty playing for the Poland national team.

As a result, the 32-year-old will miss both Champions League fixtures against the capital club. Despite missing Lewandowski, Bayern Munich has enough talent at forward to try and soften the blow of losing one of the best strikers in the world.
