Report: PSG Will Push to Sign Depay If Two Certain Players Leave the Club Over the Upcoming Summer Transfer Window

Memphis Depay is still set to become a free agent over the upcoming summer transfer window. Olympique Lyonnais and the Dutch talent still have not reached any contract extension agreement. Thus, Depay will have the opportunity to leave Lyon without having any interested club post a transfer to complete a transfer move.

Multiple clubs are already showing an interest in signing Depay, including Paris Saint-Germain. The reigning Ligue 1 champions continue to closely monitor Depay’s situation with Lyon, according to a report from Le Parisien.

For the moment, PSG does not view Depay as a transfer priority, per the report. However, this could change if Kylian Mbappe and Julian Draxler go on to leave the club over the upcoming summer transfer window.

Mbappe will have another year left on his current contract following this season, but the forward’s name has come up in the rumor mill with the likes of Real Madrid.

On the other hand, Draxler is currently on par to leave PSG over the upcoming transfer window due to his impending status as a free agent. However, PSG has reportedly shown a recent interest in signing the German talent to a new deal in order to keep him from leaving as a free transfer.

Depay has so far recorded 23 goal contributions in Ligue 1 play this season with 14 goals and nine assists.
