With less than a week until Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg showdown against Barcelona, PSG club officials have continued to monitor Neymar’s adductor injury.
The Brazilian forward made promising progress on Thursday as he featured in a portion of the team’s collective training session, according to a report from RMC Sport. This was a notable step forward in Neymar’s recovery process as he had been taking part in individual training sessions only over the past few days.
For now, it is still unknown whether Neymar will be available to make PSG’s squad list for the Barca fixture next week.
At the moment, PSG is slated to fully evaluate Neymar’s condition “at the end of the week” and then come to a final determination on his availability for the return fixture.
PSG surely does not want to rush his return to action. But at the least, he continues to make superb progress from his injury and should be back on the pitch soon, which is good news for PSG’s coaching staff.
