Report: PSG Has Set a Date for Neymar’s Possible Return from Injury

Much attention for Paris Saint-Germain continues to be set on Neymar’s serious left adductor injury. The Brazilian forward is still recovering from the injury, but over the past week, he has made tremendous progress from it.

On Monday, Neymar took part in an individual training session. He did not join up with the rest of his teammates for a collective session but rather trained alone for some light physical activities.

According to Le Parisien, Neymar is on par to soon return to action.

At the moment, Neymar is set to miss PSG’s next two fixtures with the Ligue 1 match against Bordeaux and the Coupe de France knockout stage bout against Brest.

Neymar “dreams” of playing against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg, but this is currently not likely to happen, per the report.

As mentioned, Neymar has been making promising progress from his injury. He is set to be back in collective training by Friday at the earliest.

More so, based on a timeline provided by former French national team doctor Jean-Marcel Ferret, the PSG forward may be back in time for the team’s Ligue 1 fixture against Nantes on March 14, per the report. This timeline is concurrent with Neymar’s progress as of late from his injury.

Still, PSG’s coaching staff will have the final say regarding Neymar’s return to action. The club could always choose to rush him back in time for the fixture against Barcelona, but at the moment, all parties involved remain set on being cautious with the forward’s recovery phase.
